Ronnow has reportedly turned down a move to Nottingham Forest but could move to Crystal Palace instead.
Frederik Ronnow of Esbjerg fB
Both The Guardian and Sky Sports are reporting that Crystal Palace are looking to loan Brondby goalkeeper Frederik Ronnow, who turned down a move to Nottingham Forest earlier on Thursday, according to The Nottingham Post.
It is claimed that within the past 36 hours Forest made three offers to sign Ronnow on a permanent deal, but the player went cold over a move to the Championship.
And Palace could therefore fare better in their pursuit of the 25-year-old Denmark international, given their Premier League status.
Frank de Boer, manager of Crystal Palace
The Eagles allowed Steve Mandanda to rejoin Marseille earlier this summer, leaving them with only Wayne Hennessey and Julian Speroni between the sticks.
According to Sky Sports, Palace boss Frank De Boer is desperate to land Ronnow, with sources in Denmark said to have told the broadcaster the deal will last the duration of the season – with Brondby receiving a loan fee.
Adam Federici of Bournemouth
Nottingham Forest have since signed Adam Federici from Bournemouth, having seemingly conceded defeat in their Ronnow pursuit.
Can Ronnow succeed in the Premier League with Crystal Palace, or would he have been better off at Nottingham Forest?
