The Greece international has long been linked with a move to Newcastle United.
Orestis Karnezis in action for Udinese
The Magpies have been linked with a move for Karnezis for much of the summer transfer window, as they search for a new number one.
At the end of July, Tuttomercatoweb reported an approach had been made for the 32-year-old, whose agent later told Calcio Napoli his client will sign for one of Newcastle, Crystal Palace or Watford this month.

Karnezis has not appeared in either of Udinese’s opening two Serie A fixtures, which potentially increases the likelihood of him departing the Stadio Friuli.
According to The Daily Mail, Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez is willing to offload Tim Krul and Karl Darlow to help fund the signing of a new goalkeeper.

The report also lists Jeroen Zoet of PSV Eindhoven, Wayne Hennessey of Crystal Palace, Pepe Reina of Napoli and Adrian of West Ham as targets to have been discussed by the Magpies.
