Leeds United’s ever-changing under-23 side fielded three new faces in Tuesday’s 4-1 win at Ossett Town – including a pair of players most recently listed on Liverpool books.
Unconfirmed reports suggest the pair in question, full-backs Diego Lattie and Kris Owens, are on trial at Thorp Arch – along with Irish winger Joel Coustrain – although according to Transfermarkt they remain under contract at Anfield, with Owens even turning out for the Reds’ U23s this season.
Whether either have futures at Liverpool remains to be seen, however Lattie in particular is a player who should excite the Leeds faithful.
According to The Liverpool Echo, the Premier League giants fought off clubs including Manchester United, Everton and Aston Villa to sign the 17-year-old from Manchester City a year ago, while he has also represented England at U17 level.
Owens – who plays on the opposite flank to right-back Lattie – first appeared for his hometown team at U9 level, and trialled at Queens Park Rangers earlier this year, as reported by West London Sport.

Should either player end up at Leeds on an official basis, they would not be the first to swap Anfield for Elland Road this summer, after Spanish midfielder Madger Gomes.
Coustrain, meanwhile, is a former Sheffield United youth team player, who made nine appearances for Scottish Championship side Raith Rovers last season.
