HITC Sport understands Wigan midfielder set to link up with old boss at Chesterfield.
Wigan midfielder Jordan Flores has agreed a loan move to League Two Chesterfield, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Flores has made one appearance for Wigan so far this season in the League Cup against Blackpool with the midfielder scoring one of the goals in a 2-1 win.
However, Flores is down the pecking order in Paul Cook's first-team plans for the League One campaign and he is happy to loan him out so that he can get regular action this season.
A number of clubs have shown an interest in Flores, but former Wigan boss Gary Caldwell has moved quickly to agree a deal to be reunited with him at Chesterfield.
Flores enjoyed a spell out on loan at Blackpool last season, helping them win promotion from League Two as he scored three goals in 19 appearances for the Seasiders.
Wigan feel another loan move away is the next stage in Flores' development before returning to the DW Stadium next season to challenge for a first-spot in the side.
Chesterfield have endured a difficult start to the season losing their opening two games in League Two and also crashing out of the League Cup to Sheffield United and Caldwell hopes Flores will add some quality to his squad.
