The former Burnley striker was signed by Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool.
Celtic have emerged as second favourites to sign Liverpool’s Danny Ings this summer.
Ings was signed by Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers two years ago, but has suffered two serious injuries in the meantime, limiting his action at Anfield.

A move away from Liverpool could be on the cards as the 25-year-old steps up his fitness, and Celtic Park is perhaps a plausible destination – especially if Moussa Dembele is prised away amid reports of Marseille interest.
Celtic, though, were absent from the list of contenders when Sky Bet released odds on Ings’ next club on Wednesday, with Newcastle United then former employers Burnley leading the betting.
And their sudden emergence between the two sides at 7/1 is certainly intriguing.
Liverpool are said to have paid £7.5 million for Ings (Transfermarkt), and Celtic would perhaps struggle to afford the once capped England international without selling Dembele first – although a loan move could be possible regardless.
