Newcastle United are reportedly keen on signing the Real Madrid star.
A report emanating from Spain today claims that Lucas Vazquez is open to leaving Real Madrid this summer, and Zinedine Zidane is willing to sanction his exit, according to Spanish media outlet AS, in what will surely be a huge boost to the Magpies’ hopes of signing him.
Rafa Benitez is lining up a sensational move for the 26-year-old winger, according to Spanish football Journalist Pete Jenson, who told BBC Radio Five Live’s regular podcast that Newcastle are interested in the Spaniard.

Vazquez scored two goals and registered seven assists in 33 La Liga outings for Los Blancos last term, although only 12 of those were starts, and the three-capped Spain international would be quite the coup for the Toon.
And following the report from AS, the winger could end up at St James’ Park this summer. The Spanish media outlet claim that whist Vazquez is keen to fight for his place at the Bernabeu, he is equally as willing to leave the club in order to find more regular first-team action.
And if Benitez somehow manages to sign the Madrid man, it would be a real statement of intent for Newcastle, ahead of the new season.
