Javier Hernandez joined West Ham United this summer.
David Gold has revealed on Twitter that West Ham United striker Javier Hernandez will wear the number 17 shirt next season.
West Ham pulled off one of the biggest coups of the summer so far by signing the 29-year-old from Bayer Leverkusen for around £20 million.

And the Irons’ co-owner Gold has revealed what number the Mexico international will wear for the East Londoners.
Such a high-profile signing has delighted the Hammers faithful and he will certainly be expected to repay his lofty transfer fee with the only currency that matters for centre-forwards – goals.
The former Manchester United forward, who also had a spell with Real Madrid, scored 56 goals in 159 appearances for the Red Devils.
As it happens, Hernandez’s competitive debut for West Ham could well come against his old side as Slaven Bilic’s troops visit Old Trafford on August 13 in their Premier League opener.
