Seven Arsenal youth players you need to watch out for

Sydney FC vs Arsenal - Pre Season Friendly

Arsenal have a long history of bringing through fantastic youth prospects and these 7 could make it into the first team.

So far in this series, we've had a look at some of the best youngsters playing for the likes of Liverpool, Man United and Chelsea.

And today we're going to be looking at probably the best of the bunch - Arsenal.

The Gunners have always had great Academy graduates - and there are so many to pick from for this video.

As with previous entries, we're picking players that haven't made their competitive debut for the first-team

So here are 7 of the best Arsenal Wonderkids

1. Reiss Neilson

If you have played FM 17, you'll know that Nelson is an absolute god.

And in fact, he's already hot property after making his debut for the first team in a friendly game last week.

While he's yet to make his competitive debut for Arsenal, it won't be long before he's terrorising Premier League full-backs.

He can play anywhere on the wing or through the middle as an attacking midfielder

and has great pace, first touch, skill and a good eye for a goal.

Expect BIG things.

2. Vlad Dragomir

This Romanian midfielder joined Arsenal when he was just 16 - and now 18 he's surely got to be catching Wenger's eye.

He's a graceful central midfielder who has been dubbed the new Toni Kroos.

However, unlike most silky midfielders, Dragomir isn't afraid of doing the nitty gritty and is extremely hard working - especially without the ball.

He made 13 appearances in the Premier League 2 and 8 in the U18.

A loan move would be good for him - but he's likely to continue impressing at the Gunners.

3. Donyell Malen

A prolific striker in the youth set up - Malen is another who has featured for the gunners in a friendly.

However, he's yet to make his full senior appearance but we reckon it won't be too long.

Especially with Mino Rinola being his agent and more importantly - the fact that he has scored loads of goals.

He can play out wide but prefers to be central and has immense pace and a real eye or a goal.

4. Kelechi Nwakali

The star of the 2015 U17 world cup, Nwakali won the gold ball that year and secured himself a move to arsenal.

And after a really great season out on loan with Dutch second-tier side Maastricht, he was named as Arsenal's loanee of the season.

With Kanu as his mentor - we can only expect Nwakali to make a big impact at Arsenal in the future.

5. Joe Willock

Another FM 17 legend - at least for me - Willock is the youngster of three brothers all of whom are footballers.

In fact, his eldest Chris just left Arsenal to sign for Benfica.

Anyway, Joe is another very skilful and talented midfielder who is versatile enough to play anywhere across the middle of the park.

He's played 21 U18 PL games, scored 4 and picked up 4 assists.

A loan move would do him the world of good though.

6. Marc Bola

Have Arsenal finally replaced Ashley cole? Possibly because Marc Bola is a bloody brilliant left-back.

He's just joined Bristol Rovers on a season long loan which is good news for him and he'll get plenty of game time there.

Though primarily a right-back, he can play across the defence and is a very attack minded full-back.

He spent 13 games with Notts county last season - and was very impressive - so keep an eye on him this campaign.

7. Joao Virginia

When Petr Cech gives up his gloves, it could very well be this man that takes over.

Virginia signed for Arsenal from Benfica after impressive in the youth set up and getting a spot in Portugals Olympic side for Rio 2016.

Already 6'2 and still growing, Virginia has made 14 appearances already and kept several clean sheets.
