Tottenham Hotspur are showing a keen interest in the Croatian defender.

Tottenham Hotspur remain the only team in the Premier League that are yet to make a signing so far.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is relaxed with the situation, and has made it clear that he will only sign if the right profile of a player is available.

According to reports from The Sunday People (printed edition, page 51), the North London Club are showing a keen interest in Croatian defender, Filip Benkovic.

The 20-year-old defender made his senior debut for Dinamo Zagreb in 2015, and has made 45 appearances for the club in all competitions.

The report claims that Spurs are already “considering a move” for the highly rated defender, who would cost in the region of £13.5 million.

Spurs are not alone in the race for his signature. The report adds that Serie A giants Inter Milan have also displayed a tentative interest in the youngster.

However, Spurs still hold an upper hand in the race, as the player personally prefers a move to the Premier League, and wants to play for a Champions League club.
