Silvestri looks to be on his way out of Leeds United after three seasons.

Leeds United goalkeeper has travelled to Italy for talks with Hellas Verona, according to The Yorkshire Evening Post.

The Italian featured in Monday’s behind-closed-doors friendly defeat against Bursaspor, which looked to have handed him a lifeline under new boss Thomas Christiansen at Elland Road.

But his departure is seemingly back on the cards now, and it is claimed a deal could even be done within the next 24 hours.

Losing Silvestri would still leave Leeds with three options between the sticks, following the £500,000 capture of Felix Wiedwald earlier this summer.

The former Werder Bremen player is expected to fight last season’s number one Robert Green for a starting berth, while a proposed loan move for youngster Bailey Peacock-Farrell to Oldham Athletic fell through earlier this week.

According to The Yorkshire Evening Post, however, Green will likely ask to leave Leeds in the event that he is demoted to second choice, and it is claimed the Whites would be open to offers should that transpire to be the case.

Silvestri moved to Leeds from Verona’s city rivals Chievo three years ago and was first choice in each of his first two campaigns at Elland Road.
