Leeds have wrapped up a deal for Adrian Balboa.

Leeds United have signed another young player, this time one with a very recognisable name.

Adrian Balboa – the same name of Rocky fame – signs for the club, and will likely begin with their under-23 side, following the arrival of Alejandro Machuca last week from Rayo Vallecano.

Balboa posted a picture on Instagram at Elland Road confirming his move.

Balboa signs from Barcelona based club U.D. Unificación Bellvitge, and has been prolific at youth level for them, setting goalscoring records.

The deal was set in motion by Leeds’ former assistant Pep Clotet, with Spanish newspaper Sport reporting in April that the new Oxford boss was spearheading a push to sign the young striker.

Clotet formerly worked in the region at Espanyol which could have helped him tip the club off about the youngster.

Leeds will be hoping he can quickly fight his way into the first team picture.
