West Ham United’s Darren Randolph celebrates

Middlesbrough have made a new bid for West Ham United goalkeeper Darren Randolph, HITC Sport understands from sources cose to the club.

Randolph’s future at West Ham is up in the air following the arrival of England international Joe Hart from Manchester City earlier this week.

Hart is set to be West Ham’s No.1 keeper next season pushing Randolph down the pecking order at the London Stadium after he was first-choice for much of last season.

Randolph did not start last season as first-choice keeper at West Ham but he got his opportunity and did well to make 22 appearances, six more than the club’s other goalkeeper Adrian.

Middlesbrough are in the market for goalkeeping reinforcements after seeing Victor Valdes and Brad Guzan leave this summer and a host of names have already been linked with a move to the Riverside.

New Boro boss Garry Monk is thought to be an admirer of Randolph and is keen to bring the Republic of Ireland international in as his No.1 keeper as he looks to build a side capable of winning promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
