Celtic defender Emilio Izaguirre has been playing for the Glasgow side for seven years, but Brendan Rodgers could sell the left-back.
Brendan Rodgers has confirmed at his latest press conference that Celtic defender Emilio Izaguirre could leave Parkhead this summer.
Izaguirre has been at Celtic since 2010, and has made over 200 appearances for the Bhoys.
However, in recent times, Izaguirre has lost his place in Celtic’s starting line-up due to the emergence of Kieran Tierney.
Tierney has become Celtic’s first choice left-back, after graduating through the Glasgow side’s youth academy.
And Tierney looks set to continue to start for Rodgers’ side next season.
As a result, it could leave Izaguirre playing second fiddle once again next term – and that may not appeal to the Honduran international, at this stage of his career.
Rodgers will now not stand in Izaguirre’s way, if a potential move becomes available this summer.
And the Northern Irish boss has hinted that Izaguirre could be set to depart Celtic in the near future.
Izaguirre made just 12 appearances for Celtic in the Scottish Premiership last season.
