HITC Sport understands the Huddersfield star is set for a new deal.
Huddersfield Town midfielder Jonathan Hogg has agreed a new deal with the Premier League newcomers, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
The 28-year-old, who still has two-years to run on his current contract, is set to be handed a new three-year deal at the John Smith’s Stadium.
Hogg played a key role in helping Huddersfield win promotion to the Premier League last season and has established himself as an integral member of David Wagner’s side.
The former Watford man made 37 appearances in all competitions for Huddersfield, scoring one goal which was his first in seven years.
Hogg recovered from a serious neck injury he picked up against Bristol City in March to play a key role in the final weeks of the campaign and then the play-off wins against Sheffield Wednesday and Reading.
Wagner is keen to keep hold of Hogg as he has some Premier League experience from his time at Aston Villa earlier in his career.
Huddersfield are keen to reward the majority of their squad after their exploits last season and tie them down to new long-term contracts to keep the squad all happy ahead of the new season.
