West Ham don't seem to have much luck when it comes to strikers.
West Ham have not been lucky in recent years when it comes to strikers - and they will be hoping their decision not to stick with Jonathan Calleri does not haunt them.
Calleri spent the season on loan at the Hammers last season from Boca Juniors - and it was a move which did not work out.

The striker was billed as the next Carlos Tevez - even having played with the Argentine star at Boca - but couldn't get his West Ham career going.
Calleri scored just one goal - being picked to start only four games.
Now he is playing for Spanish side Las Palmas, and has got off to a flying start.
While just against lower league side Seleccion de Bartolome, Calleri netted twice last night in a five minute spell as Las Palmas recorded a 5-0 friendly victory.

While he did not show it at West Ham, Calleri is a talented player who is just 23, and scored regularly back in Argentina.

West Ham evidently was not the right environment for him to kick on, and all at the club will wish him the best at Las Palmas.
But perhaps hope he does not fare too well.
If Calleri really flourishes for the La Liga side it will ask questions as to why West Ham's coaching staff could not get more out of him.
