Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leeds United are being linked with moves for the teenage Chelsea striker.

Chelsea could loan teenage striker Ike Ugbo to the Championship this month, according to All Nigeria Soccer.

The 18-year-old scored 23 goals in 35 games for Chelsea’s Under-23s and Under-18s last season, and the Blues are said to have given him the green light to sign for a club in the second tier.

The report suggests that four teams are mulling over moves for Ugbo, with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leeds United among them.

Both Wolves and Leeds are believed to be in the market for strikers this summer, although the Whites have recently acquired Chievo’s Caleb Ekuban which lessens their need for further additions in that department.

The pair’s second tier rivals Bristol City are another club credited with interest, however, and could be a favourable destination for both Ugbo and Chelsea, who loaned Tammy Abraham to the Robins last season to great effect.

Abraham scored 26 goals for City – with three of those coming against Wolves – and has since signed for Swansea City on a temporary basis.

Another forward player, Ezgjan Alioski, completed a move to Leeds on Thursday, although he is more commonly deployed as a winger.
