Newcastle United are keen to snap up Arsenal left-back Kieran Gibbs.
Newcastle are keen to bring in a new left-back, to replace Paul Dummett in their starting line-up.
And it is believed that Gibbs is Benitez’s first choice in that position, after the Spanish boss has assessed his options.

Arsenal are willing to sell Gibbs for £10 million, and Benitez is keen to see the England international at St. James’ Park.
Gibbs has dropped down the Gunners’ pecking order following the arrival of Sead Kolasinac this summer.
Newcastle have been frustrated with their transfer business so far, but there is genuine hope that they can secure Gibbs.
And the Magpies are expected to step up their chase for the defender in the near future.
Newcastle have completed two signings so far this summer, with Florian Lejeune and Cristian Atsu joining the Tynesiders.
