Leeds United are reportedly keen on Manchester United left back Cameron Borthwick-Jackson.

According to the Daily Mail, Leeds United are keen to sign Manchester United left back Daryl Janmaat on a permanent basis this summer.

The Whites have already snapped up Felix Wiedwald, Madger Gomes, Mateusz Klich and Hadi Sacko this summer, but new manager Thomas Christiansen is still looking for new signings.

Left back Charlie Taylor completed his acrimonious departure earlier today, as the out of contract defender sealed his move to the Premier League with Burnley – and that leaves a hole in the Leeds side.

Gaetano Berardi could feature at left back, but a natural left-footer should be targeted, with the Daily Mail now reporting that Leeds are interested in signing Manchester United’s Cameron Borthwick-Jackson.

The 20-year-old has come up through the ranks with United, and he showed real promise during the 2015-16 season, making 14 first-team appearances under Louis van Gaal.

However, Borthwick-Jackson was sent out on loan by Jose Mourinho last summer, and his loan spell with Wolverhampton Wanderers was something of a disaster, as he made just seven appearances in all competitions.

The left back now hasn’t played since November, and it’s claimed that Leeds are eyeing him up as a potential replacement for Taylor as a young, talented left back with real potential.

Leeds allegedly want Borthwick-Jackson on a permanent basis, and the defender himself could be open to a new challenge having seen his development stall over the last 12 months.
