Arsenal are signing Alexandre Lacazette, while Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Josh King.

Arsenal fans appear to believe they are about to assert their authority over Tottenham Hotspur by completing a deal to sign Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette.

Arsenal are expected to finalise a deal to bring Lacazette to the Emirates Stadium in the near future, according to the Daily Telegraph.

And Gunners supporters have used the anticipated signing of Lacazette to poke fun at their rivals, Tottenham.

Spurs finished ahead of Arsenal for the first-team since 1995 last season, and they made it into the Champions League.

Yet it is said by the Daily Mirror that Tottenham’s main striking target in Bournemouth forward Josh King.

And Arsenal supporters believe that their ability to recruit Lacazette is confirmation that they are still North London’s leading club.

Tottenham and Arsenal have both been quiet in the transfer market to date.

The capital rivals will be determined to strengthen over the remaining weeks over the summer though, as the battle for top four places in the Premier League looks set to be fierce next term.
