The Magpies will certainly need to bolster their attacking options this summer, as Rafa Benitez attempts to guide this side to a successful campaign upon their return to the top flight.
Newcastle will not have things all their own way in the Premier League, like they did for the majority of the season in the Championship last term, and they will have to improve the quality of their attacking play, if they are to make waves in the top flight.
Adem Ljajic in action for Torino
The 25-year-old chipped in with 12 goals and eight assists in 26 games for his club, whilst mainly operating from a wide left attacking position.
The Serbian is gifted form a technical perspective and, possesses vast amounts of pace. Those qualities, combined with his direct playing style would add a level of potency to the Toon's attacking play, and his presence at St James' Park would provide fantastic competition for the likes of Matt Ritchie, Christian Atsu, and even Dwight Gayle through the middle.
The Torino man has already earned 20 international caps for his country, and at the tender age of just 25, that just goes to underline his quality.
He is also renowned for putting in a shift for every minute of every game - something that will surely appeal to the pragmatic Benitez.
Ljajic is still under contract for another three years in Turin, however, so Newcastle would have to spend big to pose him away from the Serie A side, but with the windfall they would have received after earning promotion to the Premier League, they should easily be capable of coming up with an offer that would tempt the Italians into selling.
And if the Spaniard manages to bring the 25-year-old to St James' Park, what a signing it could turn out to be.
