Southampton's Cedric Soares
A report in The Sun has suggested that Southampton defender Cedric Soares could be about to attract a bid from Juventus this summer.
The 25-year-old has spent the last two seasons at St Mary's, and has generally been an excellent player for the Saints, significantly softening the blow of losing Nathaniel Clyne to Liverpool back in 2015.
The Portugal international enjoyed another excellent season for Southampton this past term, making 30 appearances in the top flight, and helping the side - then managed by Claude Puel - reach the EFL Cup final while also playing in the group-stages of the Europa League.
The Sun suggests that that form has led to Cedric becoming a wanted man, with Serie A giants Juventus keen on a move as they prepare to release potentially Premier League-bound Dani Alves from his contract with the Old Lady as Manchester City circle (via BBC Sport).
And according to The Sun, the Saints could be in line to receive a £15 million bid for the Euro 2016 winner from the side that has won six Scudetto in a row - though they do not want to sell the full-back.
Given Juve's stature, it would certainly be a major statement of intent from the Saints if they manage to convince Cedric to ignore any interest from elsewhere and instead stay at St Mary's for another year.
