Departing Barnsley midfielder Josh Scowen has been linked with Queen Park Rangers and Nottingham Forest.

Queens Park Rangers have made an offer to Josh Scowen, according to West London Sport.
Scowen is set to leave Barnsley at the end of the month when his current contract with Barnsley runs out, meaning that QPR will be able to sign the 24-year-old midfielder on a free transfer.
According to West London Sport, the midfielder is a close friend of Rangers goalkeeper Matt Ingram with whom he played at Wycombe Wanderers.

Blow for Championship rivals?
It seems that Rangers are pressing ahead with their (reported) interest in Scowen. The Sun on Sunday (print edition, page 63, June 18, 2017) credited the London club with interest in the 24-year-old.
The report has also credited Preston North End, Nottingham Forest and Bristol City with interest in Scowen, who can operate as a right-winger or as a full-back (click here to read more).
West London Sport’s report about QPR making Scowen an offer means that Preston, Forest and City will have to start getting busy and start speaking to the player.
Scowen is a good midfielder and knows the Championship well, and if the likes of Forest and Preston are serious about him, then they need to start making the player offers.
