According to The Mirror, Celtic are one of three clubs interested in signing Bristol City’s Joe Bryan, alongside Burnley and Middlesbrough.

The Bhoys excelled under Brendan Rodgers last season with an unbeaten domestic treble, but their success has triggered speculation over a host of players.

The likes of Jozo Simunovic, Stuart Armstrong and Moussa Dembele have all been linked with exits, whilst clubs are also monitoring left back Kieran Tierney after two superb seasons from the youngster.

Should Celtic lose 20-year-old Tierney this summer, another left back will be needed in his place, given that the experienced Emilio Izaguirre would surely remain as a backup.

The Mirror now report that Celtic are considering a move to sign Bristol City left back Joe Bryan, but face competition from English clubs Burnley and Middlesbrough.

Bryan, 23, has come up through the ranks with his hometown club Bristol City, and has racked up nearly 200 first-team appearances for the Robins in all competitions.

Bryan has played at left back, left wing back and even on the left of midfield during his time in the Bristol City side, and he notched one goal and two assists in the Championship last season.

It’s now claimed that Bryan is valued at around £3million, with Celtic potentially viewing him as a replacement for Tierney should he leave this summer, whilst Burnley and Middlesbrough are both in the market for left backs as they struggle to land Leeds left back Charlie Taylor.
