Tottenham Hotspur fans will be shocked to hear the Brazilian could end up at the Nou Camp.
Paulinho was one of the many players signed by Tottenham during the summer of 2013 by Andre Villas-Boas. He cost £17 million, according to the BBC, then a Spurs club record fee. A long-time regular in the Brazilian national team he was known as a box-to-box midfielder with the ability to thrive in the English game.
But despite an overall impressive first season at the club he soon dropped out of favour under new manager Mauricio Pochettino and joined Chinese side Guangzhou Evergrande in 2015.
The move to China has reinvigorated the midfielder. He has helped Guangzhou to the AFC Champions League and back to back Chinese Super League titles. His form has even rubbed off with the Brazilian national team, recently bagging a hat-trick against Uruguay.
Now, he is wanted by one of Europe’s biggest clubs.
