Leeds United are plotting a move for Macedonia international Ezgjan Alioski, according to Swiss newspaper Blick.
Blick‘s report claims Alioski is in contention to make a shock move to the Whites from Swiss side Lugano.
Alioski is a winger who plays on the right, and has enjoyed a terrific season, scoring 17 goals and providing 14 assists.
The 25-year-old has only one year remaining on his contract at Lugano.
He is a Macedonian international but also has Swiss nationality, and would find a welcome face at Elland Road in Swiss star Gaetano Berardi.
Alioski began his career with Young Boys, and has remained in Switzerland ever since.
Elland Road
He signed for Lugano as a free agent last summer, and went onto score the third highest number of goals in the Swiss top flight last season.
16 of his 17 goals came in the league, five of which were penalties.
Thomas Christiansen was a left-field choice as manager and Alioski would be a similarly surprising first signing, but it is hard to argue with his recent performances, and he could be just the type of goalscoring threat Leeds need.
