Sheffield United’s Chris Wilder is now the second favourite to succeed David Moyes at Sunderland.

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder has been cut from 33/1 to 4/1 to become Sunderland’s next manager, with bookmaker Sky Bet.
HITC Sport exclusively revealed earlier today that Wilder was being considered for the Stadium of Light post, and the punters appear to have piled on, bringing down his odds in a matter of hours.
Sunderland’s interest follows Derek McInnes’ decision to snub the Black Cats in favour of remaining at Aberdeen on Thursday.
Despite Wilder’s rapid rise up the list of likely candidates, it is Preston North End boss Simon Grayson [5/4] who remains the frontrunner to succeed David Moyes.
However, the 47-year-old has since reiterated his commitment to the Lilywhites in an interview with Talksport 2 on Friday.

Wilder led Sheffield United to promotion as League One champions in his first season in charge at Bramall Lane, and it would perhaps take something special to lure the 49-year-old away from his boyhood club.
Wilder still has two years to run on his Blades contract, and could be rewarded with an improved deal according to a report in The Sun this month.
Former Sunderland striker Kevin Phillips and his old Derby County and Leicester City colleague Nigel Pearson are the other main contenders at 5/1 and 6/1 respectively.
