West Ham United are keen on signing Olivier Giroud from Arsenal.
Arsenal's Olivier Giroud is reportedly keen on a move to West Ham
A report from Goal has suggested that West Ham are ready to offer Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud a contract worth £100,000 a week, while the Frenchman is keen on a move to the London Stadium.
Goal reports that Giroud is open to the idea of leaving the Emirates this summer after struggling for opportunities in the Gunners' starting lineup this past season, and the Hammers are keen to offer him a way out.
According to Goal, Slaven Bilic's men are ready to offer Arsenal £20 million for the 30-year-old, while also putting a four-year deal with a six-figure salary on the table having held preliminary talks regarding a move for the striker.
Despite Giroud seemingly falling down the pecking order, he has still managed a fairly respectable goals return this past season, scoring 12 times in the Premier League having only started 11 times while also making a further 18 appearances from the bench for Arsene Wenger's side.
Though he can frustrate the Gunners fans, he has proven himself to be a very decent goalscorer in the Premier League, having reached double figures for league goals in every season he has spent with Arsenal.
And that kind of reliability in front of goal could make a £20 million move seem like an absolute bargain if the Hammers hierarchy are able to get a deal across the line and Slaven Bilic can get the best out of him.
