According to an exclusive report from The Daily Record (printed edition page 72), Premier League champions Chelsea and German giants Borussia Dortmund are plotting a £30 million summer move for Celtic’s highly rated young forward, Moussa Dembele.

Dembele is a top target for both the clubs, but Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers plans to keep the squad intact.

The report states that transfers involving both the aforementioned clubs will see them pushing hard for Celtic into a sale for one of the prized assets.

Dortmund are looking to sell Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for around £60 million, and want Dembele to fill his boots at Signal Iduna Park.

Thomas Tuchel has left the club this week, and Lucien Favre is favourite to take his post. The Daily Record suggests that Favre is a keen admirer of the player having perviously tried to sign him at Nice.

Michael Zorc, Dortmund’s Director of football, has Dembele firmly on his radar.

Chelsea were linked with Dembele in January, and are also expected to make a move in the summer. However, any potential deal will largely depend if Monaco follow up their interest in Michy Batshuayi.

Diego Costa is likely to stay put, and boss Antonio Conte needs a solid back-up option. The Blues see Dembele as the perfect player for that role.

Dembele has enjoyed a superb 2016/17 campaign for the Bhoys, where he scored 17 goals in the Scottish Premier League, and 32 in all competitions.
