Premier League pair Burnley and Swansea City are eyeing moves for separate Reading players, the Mirror reports.

Reading narrowly missed out on promotion to the top flight via the Championship play-offs and could be about to pay the price.

It is claimed that Burnley are weighing up a bid for Liam Moore, while Swansea are plotting to sign Liam Kelly.

Moore only moved to Reading from Leicester City during last summer’s transfer window, but impressed at the heart of Jaap Stam’s defence and is said to have been identified as a possible replacement for Burnley’s Michael Keane.

Kelly, meanwhile, is a product of the Berkshire side’s academy and caught the eye with a goal and six assists in his breakthrough campaign for the club.

The 21-year-old signed a new contract at the turn of the year, but the report states Swansea are ready to test Reading’s resolve – leaving Stam with a battle on his hands.

Chinese brother and sister Dai Yongge and Dai Xiu Li recently completed a takeover of the beaten pay-off finalists, which should leave them in a stronger position to negotiate.
