Liverpool's Brad Smith in action with Exeter City's Troy Brown
Exeter City defender Troy Brown has agreed a new two-year deal at St James Park, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Brown's existing deal at Exeter was due to expire later this month, but the club have moved quickly to secure the defender on a new long-term contract.
The centre-back, who can also play at right-back, made 34 appearances for Exeter this season despite being ruled out for three months in September through injury.

Brown battled back to fitness and he helped Exeter reach the League Two Play-Off final only to lose to Blackpool last weekend.
The 26-year-old started his professional career at Fulham, but he made his name at Ipswich Town before having spells at Rotherham United, Aldershot Town, Cheltenham Town and Exeter.
Brown joined Exeter in the summer of 2015 and he established himself as a key member of Paul Tisdale's since his arrival in Devon.
News of Brown's new deal will come as a welcome boost to Tisdale as he looks to build a side capable of going one better and winning promotion next season.
