West Ham United are keen to bring Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi to the London Stadium next season on loan, according to a recent report by ESPN.
The Chelsea forward, who joined the Blues last summer from Ligue 1 side Marseille, has struggled for opportunities this season, and the Hammers are keen to take the player on loan.
West Ham fans were likely happy see the season come to an end last weekend, after having to put up with a bitterly disappointing campaign. The Hammers were hoping to improve on the previous season’s achievements, but the move to the new stadium and the loss of Dimitri Payet appeared to destabilise things.
And the Hammers have had their own on-field problems also. Slaven Bilic’s side have struggled to score goals this season, due to recruiting poorly over the summer and due to the ongoing injury problems suffered by Andy Carroll.

In Michy Batshuayi, West Ham United could secure a young, hungry striker who is desperate to prove himself in the Premier League after being somewhat overlooked this season at Chelsea. The Belgian striker joined the Blues with a lot of promise, and has impressed when he’s featured this season.
With European ambitions still in sight for West Ham, a combination of West Ham and Michy Batshuayi could make for a match made in heaven, and might just be the signing they need to get West Ham fans excited again.
