The Frenchman has not played for Arsenal since December 2014.

Arsenal’s Yaya Sanogo during training

Arsenal fans? Remember Yaya Sanogo? Or course you do, but many may be surprised to hear is actually still a Gunner.

The 24-year-old striker was signed from Auxerre in 2013 and considered a potential future star at the club. But the French under-21 international struggled to find his form when given chances at the Emirates.

Charlton loanee Yaya Sanogo is sent off by referee Charles Breakspear

In 20 appearances for the Gunners he has scored just once and had dreadful loan spells at both Crystal Palace and Ajax.

Most recently he was with Charlton Athletic last season, scoring three goals in eight games – all three of which came in one game.

He has since been suffering with a mystery injury, but in March returned to action.

Now he has posted a video of himself in fine form during an Arsenal training session, via his official Instagram page:

Judging by this, Sanogo is a goal-machine and in his defence he has fine scoring record with his country and previously with Auxerre.

His contract with Arsenal does expire in the summer and it seems his appearance v Galatasaray in the December 2014 Champions League tie may be his last for the club.

Perhaps his Instagram post is meant as a reminder of the talent he does still possess.
