Derby County came close to signing Yanic Wildschut in January, but could they renew their interest in the Norwich City winger this summer?

How's he been doing?

It's not going great so far. The Dutchman has started six of a possible 18 games for Norwich, providing one goal and zero assists. He failed to feature at all in the Canaries final six league fixtures. He did, however, contribute towards six goals in 28 games for Wigan in the first half of the campaign.

Do Derby still need him?

Derby were never short of wingers in the first place, however, the fact they are yet to add in Wildschut's position since missing out on his signature suggests there could still be interest. They have changed managers in the meantime and Gary Rowett may not feel the need to add in that department - although if Tom Ince leaves the Rams are almost certain to re-stock.

What are their chances of doing a deal?

Norwich are ready to cut their losses, according to the Eastern Daily Press, although no buyer is likely to come anywhere near the £7 million they are said to have paid[/are still paying], even if Derby do have Ince money to play with this summer.
