Arsenal overcame Stoke City with ease this weekend.
Arsenal defeated Stoke City 4-1 at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday to keep their hopes of a top-four finish alive.
The Gunners were boosted by the recent victory against Manchester United, and Arsene Wenger's side made light work of the Potters courtesy of two goals from Olivier Giroud and one apiece from Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.
Arsenal played three at the back with Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal as wing-backs, and while the former laid on two assists, the latter also played his part.
Monreal is something of an unsung hero at the Emirates Stadium and while his future remains in some doubt he rarely disappoints when called upon.
Saturday saw the Spaniard make his 40th appearance for Arsenal this season, and while he has moved between left-back, centre-back and wing-back in recent weeks he has already done his best for the team.
Arsenal still have work to do to qualify for the Champions League again next season, but they are certainly fighting until the very end and it is now seemingly between them and Liverpool for the final spot.
After the match we took to Twitter to see what Arsenal fans thought of Monreal's latest performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
Monreal >> Gibbs at LWB

@juliogooner @AFC_AFC_7 Monreal has been brilliant as the 3rd CB and as LWB be a good 2nd LWB

Monreal and Bellerin in particularly impressive tonight. Both were such threats going forward all evening. #afc

@richardbrown31 @AFC_AFC_7 Monreal been class at LWB as well good versatile player to have in the squad if we do get Kolasanic

Monreal had a great game today, Gibbs hasn't been the best at WB. I think Rodriguez from Wolfsburg would be perfect for us with this tactic.

Nacho Monreal should be Arsenal captain.
