According to the Daily Mail, English clubs would have to pay Eupen winger Henry Onyekuru a weekly wage of £32,000 amid interest from Everton and Southampton.
Onyekuru, 19, joined Eupen from the Aspire Academy in 2015, and after helping the club win promotion to the Jupiler Pro League last season, he has enjoyed a stunning campaign this term.
The Nigerian attacker, who can play out wide or up front, has racked up 20 goals and nine assists for Eupen, an impressive record for a mid-table Belgian side.
Unsurprisingly, Onyekuru’s record in Belgium has triggered major interest, with the Daily Mail claiming that Premier League sides Crystal Palace, Everton and Southampton are eyeing up summer bids.

However, it’s added that Anderlecht and Club Brugge have made opening offers of £6.7million, and Premier League teams would be forced to not only improve on those bids, but also pay him around £32,000-a-week.
The report claims that the work permit totting-up system means that the uncapped Onyekuru, who is waiting for his first Nigeria appearance, needs to be paid a certain amount to qualify as an elite talent and subsequent work permit.

That is a considerable amount of money to pay for a teenager who has only featured in Belgium, but Premier League clubs may be willing to fork out £32,000-a-week just to be able to secure Onyekuru’s signature.
With pace and an eye for goal, Onyekuru is not only a threat right now, but has huge potential to become a star in the coming years – and the likes of Crystal Palace, Everton and Southampton won’t want to miss out.
