Leeds United manager Garry Monk
The club confirmed on their official website this week that Bravo - who spent around seven years with Real Madrid, working as Los Blancos' Director of Strategy until 2010 - has been appointed to the board of directors.
And while Monk confirmed that he is yet to really speak to Bravo about the Championship side, he insisted that it appears to be an extremely positive move from the club.
"I've met him briefly, and really [we] just had a discussion on football, nothing about Leeds United or internally or how it works," he told Radio Yorkshire.
"I'm sure, like the owners said, that they want to sit down in June and discuss the football matters going forward. It looks a great appointment, and I'm sure that the club have an idea of what that appointment's going to bring, so that's for me to find out at the end of the season."
With Bravo something of an unknown quantity to the English game, and thus, it remains to be seen how successful an appointment it will be, it will perhaps be Monk's final line that may actually please Leeds fans the most.
Monk has recently been linked with a move away from Elland Road with second tier rivals Norwich City interested (via Daily Mirror), but the Leeds boss has seemingly dropped - though, probably meaning nothing by it - the slightest hint that he currently sees his future being exactly where he is now by discussing the prospect of working with Bravo at some stage beyond this season.
