Leeds United have appointed former Real Madrid strategist Ivan Bravo to the club’s board of directors.

The Spaniard, a friend of new part-owner Andrea Radrizzani, will maintain his role as director of the Aspire Academy in Qatar whilst taking on his role at Leeds.

The academy aims to produce some of the top talent in Qatar, whilst also giving chances to players from African nations such as Senegal, Mali and South Africa.

Several of these players go on to hone their skills in Europe at partner club KAS Eupen in Belgium.

So should Leeds consider a partnership with the club?

Radrizzani himself also has links with Belgian football. His Eleven Sports Network is currently trying to procure the rights to the Belgian Pro League.

With clear positions in place in the Belgian game and KAS Eupen a side brimming with talented young players it would be odd if Leeds do not try and build up a relationship with the Belgian side in the years to come.

It might see them pick up some very talented players for the future.
