Corentin Tolisso has been linked to Tottenham but has great admiration for rivals Arsenal.
Lyon’s Corentin Tolisso celebrates scoring
Tottenham Hotspur were linked this week to Lyon ace Corentin Tolisso, with L’Equipe reporting they are keen on the midfielder.
Tolisso, 22, is reported to be worth £37 million, a high price which could put Spurs off.
But there is one more red flag they will have to consider, his comments about Arsenal.
Tolisso said in an interview earlier this season that the Gunners are a side he would love to join.
He told France Football: “Many clubs make me dream like Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and England with teams like Arsenal.
“I love the Premier League and I think I have the profile. This is the championship that also offers more competition, which is the most open, the most hard-fought and most spectacular.”

The second part of Tolisso’s comments suggest he could be tempted by Tottenham, but it would seem Arsenal are his top choice.
The last time Tottenham spent big on a midfielder who publicly told of his admiration for Arsenal, it was Moussa Sissoko.
