Southampton’s Jordy Clasie has played 15 times in this season’s Premier League
Everton are again being linked with a move for Southampton midfielder Jordy Clasie, this time in the Mirror (13/04, p59).
Toffees boss Ronald Koeman signed Clasie shortly after his arrival at St Mary’s, having worked with the 25-year-old at Feyenoord.
And according to the Mirror, Koeman “could go back his old club” for a third Clasie link-up, despite the latter’s lack of action for the Saints of late.
Everton were previously linked with a move for the Netherlands international at the time of Koeman’s appointment, but have since signed Idrissa Gueye and Morgan Schneiderlin in his position, with youngster Tom Davies also playing a prominent role this calendar year.
Earlier this week, it was claimed by former Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri that Clasie had been recommended to him by former head of recruitment Steve Walsh, now the director of football at Everton, before the Foxes signed Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante (Sky Sports).

And it could be the case that the Mirror’s report simply stems from those comments.
Would Southampton’s Clasie be a good signing for Everton this summer?
