Liverpool's Joe Gomez in action [left]
Liverpool's Joe Gomez was a rumoured loan target for Scottish champions Celtic in January [Daily Mail].
The teenager was a favourite of Bhoys boss Brendan Rodgers during the latter's Anfield days, so could a reunion be on the cards at Celtic Park this summer?
How is he getting on?
It's more than four months since Gomez returned to fitness, however, he is yet to feature for Liverpool in a league game all season. His only three appearances have come in the FA Cup.
Do Celtic still need him?
Rodgers has already admitted wanting to strengthen at centre-half this summer, while the possible departures of Kieran Tierney and Emilio Izaguirre could put a player like Gomez, who can also operate on the left, at the forefront of the Celtic boss' plans.
Could they get him?
With Liverpool expected to add at both centre- and left-back this summer, Gomez's first team prospects continue to look bleak, and a loan move could be the ideal solution for both player and club. Rodgers brought Gomez to Anfield initially, and a reunion with his former boss at Celtic Park could appeal to the Londoner.
Verdict: 7/10 - Keep an eye on Liverpool's transfer business - this could be a goer.
