Norwich City have been without a manager for the past two weeks.
Former boss manager Uwe Rosler celebrates
Norwich City are ready to make Uwe Rosler manager once Stuart Webber’s arrival as director of football is confirmed, the Sun on Sunday reports (26/03, page 63).
The Sun has linked Norwich with moves for Darrell Clarke of Bristol Rovers and Paul Heckingbottom of Barnsley in the past week, but is now tipping the Canaries to move for Rosler following an impressive campaign in charge of Fleetwood Town.
Webber is said to have wanted Rosler at Huddersfield Town before the appointment of another German boss, David Wagner, in 2015.
But the 33-year-old could finally get his man, with the Sun on Sunday reporting that Rosler will quit Fleetwood ‘regardless of whether or not they are promoted’ to the Championship.
The 48-year-old began his managerial career in Norway, but also managed Brentford, Wigan and Leeds before taking the reins at Highbury in July last year.
Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner
Meanwhile, Norwich’s chances of landing Huddersfield’s Wagner are described as ‘slim’ by the Sun on Sunday, which claims a new three-year deal is on the cards for the former Borussia Dortmund coach.
Would Rosler be a good appointment for Norwich City?
