How are West Brom’s loan players getting on?

Brighton's Anthony Knockaert in action with Sheffield Wednesday's Callum McManaman

We catch up with those West Bromwich Albion players who are currently out on loan.

Sebastien Pocognoli (Brighton and Hove Albion)

The on loan West Bromwich Albion left-back - who was deemed surplus to requirements following Tony Pulis’ arrival at the Hawthorns - has featured 15 times for the Seagulls during this campaign.

Chris Hughton’s side have kept clean sheets in more than half of those games, as they look to secure automatic promotion to the Premier League. Pocognoli suffered a groin injury 18 minutes into Brighton’s 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United in February and hasn’t featured since.

Callum McManaman (Sheffield Wednesday)

The former Wigan man completed a January move to Hillsborough after suffering a similar fate to Pocognoli under Pulis.

So far, McManaman’s only start for Carlos Carvalhal’s side came in his debut game against Wolverhampton Wanderers. As the Owls endure a shaky run of form, the winger has featured off the bench on nine occasions, registering two assists.

Tyler Roberts (Shrewsbury Town)

Albion’s promising academy product spent the first half of the season on loan with Michael Appleton’s Oxford United.

After failing to break into the U’s starting eleven, the Welshman was sent out on loan to fellow League One side Shrewsbury Town in January. Roberts has since enjoyed a good spell in front of goal for the Salop, netting in four of his ten appearances for the relegation-threatened side.

Shan Donnellan (Dagenham and Redbridge)

The centre-back has been on the winning side in seven of his eleven outings of Daggers. Donnellan, 20, has also been used in a defensive midfield role, as John Still’s side push for promotion to the football league.
