A report in Turkey has been shedding light on the situation involving Danish international Simon Kjaer at Fenerbahce.
The talented centre-back is a player Fenerbahce consider up for sale. The Istanbul club need to cut some of their high wage earners, as they seek to comply with FIFA’s Financial Fair Play rules.
According to Sporx, Kjaer was available for just €10 million (£8.7 million). So, should Everton take notice?
Everton have still struggled at the back this season. Despite the signing of Ashley Williams, the Toffees have not looked great at the back.
Phil Jagielka’s age is now a primary concern as his performances diminish whilst Argentine Ramiro Funes Mori is simply too inconsistent to be relied upon.
Everton need a centre-back partner for Williams and the powerful yet cultured Kjaer could be the perfect man for the job.
