Everton, Liverpool and Tottenham are reportedly keen on Las Palmas star Roque Mesa.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Las Palmas midfielder Roque Mesa is attracting interest from a host of clubs, including Everton, Liverpool and Tottenham.
Mesa, 27, is something of a late bloomer, as he was playing for Levante B, Huracan, Tenerife B and Las Palmas B before being pushed up into the Las Palmas first team, with his first ever professional game coming in 2011 at the age of 22.
Now, Mesa is one of the top midfelders in Spanish football, which is no mean feat. In 34 appearances last season, Mesa impressed in front of the Las Palmas back four, with the diminutive midfielder showing great defensive ability, passing range and superb stamina.
Mesa has been placed into the discussions for the Spanish national team of the back of his performances for Las Palmas, and Marca now claim that clubs around the world are plotting moves for him.
The Spanish newspaper claim that Bayern Munich, Sevilla and Valencia are all keen on Mesa, as are Premier League sides Everton, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
It’s added that whilst Las Palmas don’t want to lose Mesa and could demand his €30million (£26million) release clause, they are willing to start discussing deals at just €10million (£8.75million).

That certainly fits into the budgets of all the English clubs named in the race, but whether moves make sense is another matter, as whilst Tottenham may be in the market for a midfielder, a player who turns 28 this summer seems an unlikely target for Mauricio Pochettino.
Everton could make some sense, but Ronald Koeman now has a host of midfielders at his disposal in Idrissa Gueye, Morgan Schneiderlin, Gareth Barry and Tom Davies, meaning that a move may only happen if Barry leaves this summer.
Liverpool makes the most sense; Mesa has the energy that Jurgen Klopp desires, and he needs depth in midfield behind Jordan Henderson, especially with question marks over Emre Can’s long-term future.
With a possible bargain price and some impressive displays in Spain, Mesa looks set to attract plenty of interest this summer, with Premier League rivals allegedly going toe-to-toe for his signature.
