Millwall goalkeeper Jordan Archer played with Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane and Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale.

Millwall goalkeeper Jordan Archer has explained to The Times how Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is similar to Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale.

Archer played with Bale and Kane at Tottenham. The 23-year-old goalkeeper is now at Millwall, and he has outlined how his two former teammates are similar.

“He’s like Gareth Bale in how down to earth he is and how hard he works in training,” Archer told The Times about Kane.

“Gareth often did extra. The other ’keepers had gone in so I had to go in goal. He did free kicks, shooting drills.”

Kane is one of the best strikers in Europe and has been playing brilliantly for Tottenham for almost three seasons.

The England international is scoring goals regularly and could end up as the top scorer in the Premier League this season.

It was not easy for the striker to break into the Spurs first team, but once he did, there was no looking back for him.

Bale rose to stardom during his spell at Tottenham and earned the move to Spanish giants Madrid in the summer of 2013.

The Wales international winger has won the Champions League twice and the Copa del Rey once with Madrid.

Madrid are aiming to win La Liga this season, while Tottenham are in the running for a top-four finish in the Premier League.
