Millwall goalkeeper Jordan Archer says he’s unsure if he’ll feature against former club Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup on Sunday.

Archer has been a regular for the Lions since switching to The Den in 2015 upon his release by Spurs.

However, the former Scotland Under-21 international has missed the last three weeks with a thigh tear and won’t know until closer to the day if he’ll return in time for his side’s trip to White Hart Lane.

“To be fit for Sunday has been my aim since the start and I’ve been outside recently so it’s all looking good,” Archer told ESPN. “I’m pretty confident but I won’t know until closer to the day. As it stands, I’m more than confident I’ll be available.

“It’s a dream tie to play at White Hart Lane in the last cup game. I’ve got some old friends, so I was looking forward to the occasion. On the same day [as the draw], I found out the result of the scan. I’m pushing to be fit come Sunday.”

Archer was initially on the books of Charlton Athletic as a youth but moved north of the river to sign for Tottenham in 2009.

The 23-year-old, who was in the same age group as Spurs and England star Harry Kane, failed to make a competitive appearances for the Lilywhites, however.

Before his move to Millwall, where he is the reigning player of the year, Archer enjoyed loan spells at Harrow Borough, Bishop’s Stortford, Wycombe Wanderers and Northampton Town, as well as his current employers.
