The Whites conceded a late equaliser to drop two points against Fulham on Tuesday night.

Leeds United forward Kemar Roofe has told the Yorkshire Evening Post that the team will not give up hope of securing automatic promotion to the Premier League unless it becomes “mathematically impossible”.
The Whites missed the chance to close the gap on the top two to seven points on Tuesday night as they dropped two points by conceding a late equaliser to Fulham.
The draw leaves them in fourth place, with an eight-point playoff cushion, but some nine points off an automatic promotion place.
It has been suggested by some since the final whistle on Tuesday that Leeds’ chances of avoiding the trauma of the playoffs had all but evaporated after they failed to see out the win against the Cottagers.
However, there are still 10 games to go for the Elland Road side, and Roofe has insisted that the only thing that will see he and his teammates lose hope is if it becomes mathematically impossible to finish second.
Roofe said, via the Yorkshire Evening Post: “We’ve still got a long way to go. Anything can happen and there’s a lot of teams fighting for the positions. All we can do is do our job.
“We’re still fighting for second and until it’s mathematically clear that we can’t, we’re going to keep going and try to claw our way back up. And the thing is, the pressure’s not on us. It’s on everybody else. We’re just trying to play with freedom and enjoy our football.”
It’s another step closer to our end goal which is hopefully promotion. We’ll get back in and we will go again.”
Talk of automatic promotion does seem a touch optimistic, and the first and foremost job for Garry Monk and his players will be to ensure they do not allow themselves to slip to a position from which they have to look over their shoulders nervously at the teams hoping to sneak into a playoff spot from below.
The Whites are next in action this weekend at home to QPR.
