The goal-getting striker is however a Sheffield United fan.
Lee Gregory of Millwall celebrates scoring his teams first goal
Millwall’s on-loan midfielder Jed Wallace has been commenting on the talents of the club’s striker Lee Gregory, and believes that he could be perfect for a team like Sheffield Wednesday.
The Wolves-owned winger has been commenting on his loan club’s star striker ahead of their meeting with Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup this weekend.
He told London News Online of his belief that a team such as Championship promotion chasers Sheffield Wednesday could use a player like Gregory in their team:
“How he’s still at this level is beyond me.
“For a Sheffield Wednesday, or a decent Championship side chasing promotion, he’ll get you 20 goals.”
Gregory has undoubtedly proven himself a top player in the Football League. He has scored 14 goals in 34 games at Millwall this season, after a brilliant campaign which saw him score 27 times last season.
But a move to Sheffield Wednesday one day? That seems unlikely.
Gregory is a Sheffield boy but it is not the blue side of the steel city that he backs. He is a Blade, supporting the Owls local rivals Sheffield United.

He even started his career at the club, before being released and forging a Football League pathway via the non-league route.
Undoubtedly Gregory has the talents to be a star in the Championship and, with Millwall or not, he is bound to play there eventually.
But at Hillsborough? Seems unlikely.
