Bookmakers have downgraded West Ham United from favourites to sign Liverpool outcast Daniel Sturridge this summer while Newcastle have entered the betting.
Daniel Sturridge looks to be on his way out of Liverpool this summer
The Hammers have been linked with a longstanding interest in former Chelsea striker Sturridge, who is on the periphery at Anfield under Jurgen Klopp.
With Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho once again spending much of the season on the sidelines through injury, Slaven Bilic has often been left short of options after a failed summer of transfer business.
Injuries have hampered Sturridge in recent seasons too but West Ham were believed to be keen on signing the striker as recently as January, as reported by the likes of The Sun.
The Mirror claimed this week that Sturridge’s Liverpool career was now hanging by a thread with Klopp plotting a summer shake-up.
The report is the clearest indication yet that the England star will be on his way out of Anfield in the summer.
And while that is potentially exciting news for Hammers fans, bookmakers have now downgraded the East Londoners from favourites to sign Sturridge, with London rivals Arsenal now heading the queue.

Bookies Coral posted on its official Twitter account: “Daniel Sturridge may leave Liverpool, but where will he go next?”
Arsenal have been installed as new favourites at 5/2, the Hammers second favourites at 7/2, Paris Saint Germain at 4/1 and the Magpies at 6/1 – presumably on the assumption they are promoted back to the Premier League.
Sturridge would add much needed quality to either West Ham or Newcastle.
But do the Hammers really want another injury prone forward on their books?
It is not beyond the realms of possibility that Newcastle could sign Sturridge if they do, as is expected, get promoted given their proven track record of attracting top strikers over the years.
