Football Soccer - Juventus v Empoli - Italian Serie A
Unwanted by Leeds United, Giuseppe Bellusci was faced with a daunting task at the weekend.
The match was a routine win for the Italian champions, who emerged 2-0 victors, through an own goal (not from Bellusci) and a strike from Alex Sandro.
Bellusci's side then shut out strikers Higuain and Mario Mandzukic, but ultimately were undone.
The Leeds loanee did not manage to record a single tackle, nor an interception in the defeat.
He also won only one aerial duel and managed the lowest pass completion rate of any of the back four (78 per cent).
Towards the end of the game Bellusci picked up a customary booking, his 11th of the season, more than any player in Serie A.
It was always a bit of a mismatch for a player who lined up in England's second tier last season and often struggled, but in general this season he has held up in Serie A.
Bellusci may yet earn himself a permanent deal to Empoli at the end of the season, but the weekend was not one to put on his highlight reel.
